Wow! I just discovered via New York Renovator (one of my Mom’s blogs) that Mrs. Mecomber (that’s my Mom, BTW) gave me the Super Scribbler Award! Wow! I never got an award before! I am a Superior Scribbler! I Scribble Superioritively, so I get an award.

Uh…

Anyway.

All awards have rules, so here they are:

1. Each Superior Scribbler (S.S.) must pass the Award onto 5 most deserving blogger friends.
2. Each S.S. must link the author and name of the blog from whom he/she received the award.
3. Each S.S. must display the award on his/her blog and link to the post which explains the award.
4. Each S.S. who wins is asked to visit this post and add his/her name to the Mr. Linky List so they can keep up-to-date on everyone who receives The Prestigious Honor.
(Mom says there are over 1300 names already there! So I guess this rule is nullified.)
5. Each S.S. must post these rules on his/her blog.

Okay, step 1. Gosh, some people I would immediately think of already got the award! However, there are still some: Freaky Frugalite. This is my Mom’s blog, and I would definitely say that most of what I have learned about Scribbling has come from her!

There is then a blog I am new to, but is really great, The Forney Flyer, because it’s a MAF missionary pilot/mechanic who runs a very communicative blog with stunning photography! He, his wife, four sons, and one daughter live in Kalimantan, Indonesia as missionaries. The stories he has told have made me both laugh and gasp. It is so neat to be able to read the narrative of a missionary in Indonesia! If you want to read real-life stories of modern missionaries, this is the place to go!

Also, here is his wife Joy’s blog, The Stay at Home Missionary. Being the missionary mother of five kids, she is very busy, not to mention she makes their food mostly from scratch. I am new to this blog as well, but it is really sweet.

Then there is Herculean Reflections, by a genuine patriot and prolific writer. He has not posted for a while, but I still think this blog deserves Superiour Scribbler status! He writes about lots of things here; government, history, Christianity–many very relevant topics.

And finally, I would like to nominate Kerry Hasenbalg. She worked with the Christian adoption agency Show Hope, and even spoke to Congress on matters of adoption and foster homes. However, she devotes herself primarily to raising and homeschooling her two young children, Cole and Maya. Kerry’s husband works for Show Hope, so sometimes he is away in other countries, but it is obvious this family is very bonded. Kerry has lost children before birth previously, so she asks for prayer for her current upcoming little girl! Though Kerry has seen a lot of anguish, she is also very blessed with a precious family.

Wow! I feel like a professional or something; I have never gotten or given away any awards before! Whew!
Thanks a ton, Mom. :D :D :D

  1. Yesh indeedy! You do Scribble Superioritively! Glad you like the award. :) Keep up the good superior scribbling.

  2. Congratulations, Alice! Congratulations to the other winners! And I am honored that you would share your award with me. I am sorry for my tardy response to your kind notification. I think that just goes to show that you are a more superior scribbler than me — I will have to scribble some more, I guess!
