I recently found out that Voice of the Martyrs recently released the new DVD: Underground Reality: Colombia! I am so excited! This is the second in the series, and I absolutely loved Underground Reality: Vietnam. For an hour or so, it takes you out of your comfortable American Christianity and lets you look through the eyes of Christians in a third-world country to whom their faith is precious.
Turns out, Travel the Road‘s Tim and Will are going through Colombia and Ecuador on a similar mission.
Funny; a lot of missionary groups are talking about the Amazon lately. I think it is the Holy Spirit setting our hearts on that region, right now. Will you join me and thousands of others praying for the Christians and the lost there? Our country was once in a similar state, a vast, virgin region with tribes scattered about who knew nothing about Christianity except Catholicism. Unfortunately, not many people committed themselves to bringing the Gospel to them; there were, however, plenty of folks who brought a reproach on America’s Christian heritage. But there still are missionary efforts among the Native Americans, and I am glad God’s people are going to the heart of the Amazon now, while it is still, for the most part, a frontier.
