Pakistani Christian too poor to appeal case

Another Christian in Pakistan has been falsely accused of blasphemy by a Muslim and severely attacked for it. This time it’s 19-year-old Imran Masih; while he was working in a barber shop, the Muslim owner accused him of stealing a large amount of money and had him imprisoned. Incidentally, this same barber-shop owner had been pressuring Imran to convert to Islam. Found praying in the prison, Imran was subsequently stoned by the other prisoners, and the guards did nothing until he was almost dead. They shipped him to ICU November 26 and is still recovering. The man who threw Imran into prison told his father he would not let his son get out of prison alive. Why, may I ask, say such a thing? What is the motivation? Imran’s father is too poor to get a lawyer to appeal to the High Court, but he has been doing what he can by writing to the authorities. Folks, let’s not let this go unnoticed!

  1. Is it just me, or does this type of thing seem to be happening on an escalated scale lately? Makes me wonder how many of these stories go unnoticed! I did hear about this man, but I’m glad you posted, because I didn’t know the details. I’m going to check it out! I’ll be praying for this man, as well.

Man. Nothing angers me more than when Muslims attack Christians and the Christians get accused of blasphemy. It’s just wrong. Thank you for posting about this kid. I will definitely be praying for him.

    :(

I wish all these Christians could come here.
