One thing I like about this time of year is Panera’s cranberry muffin.
I say that often enough for me to have to post it, so there.
I downloaded iTunes today, so that I can put music and organize it on Mom’s iPod. First thing I see when I go the the site to download it is an ad for the Beatles. How awful is that! How did they get so popular? How do we define greatness nowadays? Is it really that base? I guess it is… Our celebrity culture is like the Babylonian times. Do men not stand for principle anymore? I guess not… Not in the open. As in the days of Elijah, God has reserved for himself men who have not bowed the knee to “foreign gods.”
Also, I have developed the opinion that whoever wrote the music to “The Star-Spangled Banner” patterned it after vocal exercises. Think so?
Also, Living Waters released their 6th Way of the Master Episode for Season 4! It’s the Monaco Episode, and for a limited time, you can download it for free! How cool is that? Check it out here!
Another thing: it’s November and it hasn’t snowed yet.
And I’m grateful, honestly! However, I do wish it would stop raining!
One last thought/wierd fact about me: how do you break a brand new acoustic guitar string? The lowest one? Cuz I did a couple days ago, and was pretty peeved about it. Fortunately, this house is filled with guitar players and their equipment so Mom immediately volunteered hers for my usage on Sunday. I wonder how long it’s been since I changed the strings on that thing? I received this beautiful Jasmine guitar by Takamine… gee, almost 5 years ago??? Wow! It was the PERFECT starter for me! The fret board is a little smaller than most, it’s got no cuttaways, it has a black pickguard (something I wanted!), it’s playable, and the sound is really nice! What I like so much is that though it is a beginner’s guitar, it’s not cheap in quality! It really is a nice guitar, and has been a good old faithful, needing no fixing besides cleaning and new strings! The one bummer that only showed up recently is that it’s not electric, so Dad got me a pickup. I actually had to sand it down so it would fit in the soundhole, lol! But it has done it’s job well over the years! But since it’s been 5 years and I’m now playing regularly with the church band, I’ve had in the back of my mind… an update. I do so love my guitar, but now that I’m performing regularly I’ve thought a little about an update when the opportunity arises– whenever it does. We went to Big Apple to pick up strings for my Jasmine, but our first mistake was bringing the boys with us. They wanted to “look around” a bit. And following them, my eyes fell upon a bright red Dean electric-acoustic–second mistake. The best thing I did was look at the price tag: $300. First things first; the update can wait! Lol! Food and transportation are kinda important! The Lord will take care of all these things He knows we have need of!
Wow! Your random posts are so amusing!
One interesting fact for you is that the Beetles are becoming popular on iTunes, because they just become available on iTunes are 50 years! Now everybody wants to be able to listen to the classics on the iPods.
