Something Beautiful: Week 5

For this week’s Something Beautiful, hosted by my friend Renee, I would like to post a photo I took right before the sun set one evening a few days ago. After I took several photos, this being the best, the glow in the sky disappeared! Mom said they were “Hurricane clouds.” Wow!

“Bless the LORD, O my soul!
O LORD my God, You are very great:
You are clothed with honor and majesty,
Who cover Yourself with light as with a garment,
Who stretch out the heavens like a curtain.
He lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters,
Who makes the clouds His chariot,
Who walks on the wings of the wind,
Who makes His angels spirits,
His ministers a flame of fire.” (Psalm 104:1-4)

“There is no one like the God of the upright,
Who rides the heavens to help you,
And in His excellency on the clouds.” (Deuteronomy 33:26)

“Sing to God, sing praises to His name;
Extol Him who rides on the clouds,
By His name YAH,
And rejoice before Him.
A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows,
Is God in His holy habitation.” (Psalm 68:4-5)

  1. Wow! That’s a nice picture! As you know, I have a fascination with taking pictures of the sky — the clouds are no exception. Sometimes, I get multiple pictures of the same scene, because it’s so pretty! :D And I really like that Deuteronomy passage; it’s perfect for the picture…

    Hi Alice!

This is beautiful! I remember once seeing a pink cloud stretching down from the sky. It was amazing, and unlike anything I’ve ever seen. It seemed very close and it was fascinating! I also love the dark clouds at the bottom of the picture! So pretty! We saw some amazing clouds as that hurricane passed, too!

Have a great day! And thanks for linking up!
    Renee

This is one of your best sky photos. Great job!
