Soothing Music
I just listened to “Be Still for the Presence of the Lord” sung by Welsh singer Aled Jones and the boys’ choir Libera. Beautiful is not descriptive enough; I remember the first time I heard it I was nearly knocked off my feet. There aren’t many songs that have that effect on me; overwhelming, but still so soothing, totally captivating. Let’s see, there is Mighty to Save by Hillsong, Long Black Train by Josh Turner, and Sanctus sung by Libera.
Doesn’t seem like a lot, until I post them all up here for you to listen to!
First, “Be Still for the Presence of the Lord.”
Then there’s two versions of “Mighty to Save.”
Hillsong:
Laura Story:
All right, I didn’t mean to overload you, I just like both versions and wondered which you all would like better.
Also, “Long Black Train.”
And finally, “Sanctus.” (It means “Holy,” the song is in Latin for the Bible verse, “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.”)
So. Are you still in your chair?
OMG! I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE “Mighty to Save” by Laura Story! I had heard that one on the radio a while back, and I LOVE it!
