I wanted to post this as a sequel to my most recent Word for Wednesday. When I was born again, there was so much in my heart that I wanted to express to God, just to overflowing, but “the dust of words” smothered me. I felt a frustration that there was nothing I could say. After a few months, the Lord said to my heart, “There is beauty in this silence. I AM here, and it is enough!” Which led to my writing this song:

Here I am, O Lord, on my knees in awe
I’m surrounded by the wonder of your love.
This moment with You is precious.
After all these years, I finally start to realize
What took place when You died on that Cross, and when You rose on high.
Your dying gave me life, and Your ascension, freedom in Your Spirit.
As I’m kneeling here, I’m simply overwhelmed by it.
I can’t find the word to tell You all that fills my heart,
But I’m beginning to see that

There is beauty in this silence
As You show me Your heart through Your word and ask of me if I’ll just believe.
And there is joy in Your presence
As every doubt is cast aside and the tears freely flow
I know
That You will never leave, never leave.

Just as long as You are in this place

There is beauty in this silence
As I pour out my heart without words on my knees; this fellowship is sweet.
And there is joy in Your presence,
As I draw nearer to Your heart; when I get back on my feet
May Your presence never leave, never leave.

Just wanted to share it with you all. ;)
